Geta Mahal, Old City Jodhpur
A heritage-style building in Jodhpur's old city — built with hand-carved sandstone arches, jaali screens, a carved stone door frame and red sandstone cladding over a strong RCC structure.
Project overview
Geta Mahal is a heritage-style building in the narrow lanes of Jodhpur's old city, being built by Ayesha Enterprises with the traditional craftsmanship the area is known for — on top of a modern, strong RCC structure.
The work covers the RCC slab and frame, thick sandstone block masonry for the walls, and a grand front façade: a scalloped arch framed with deeply hand-carved floral sandstone, fine jaali (lattice) panels on both sides, a central stone pillar, and red sandstone cladding panels fixed course by course. Inside, a richly carved stone door frame continues the same style.
All of this is being done in a busy old-city lane — material is moved with a mixer and hoist, and every carved piece is set in place by hand under our daily supervision. The project is ongoing, and we will add more photos as the façade is completed.
